(July 8th, 2014 — New York, NY) — Pop quintet Fifth Harmony (Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Dinah Jane) release the video for their brand new single “BO$$” today. The video was first unlocked at midnight last night on Shazam to any user who shazam’d BO$$ and available to anyone who opens the Shazam app before going wide today at noon on Vevo. Fans have been patiently awaiting the release of “BO$$” since the group started teasing it a month ago and the wait finally ended this week. “BO$$” premiered this past Saturday, streaming simultaneously on Saturday Night Online and MTV.com. It was released digitally yesterday and it instantly shot into the top 10 on the iTunes single chart. It hit #1 on Billboard’s new Real Time Chart due to the online chatter after Fifth Harmony revealed the single artwork last week.

Fifth Harmony will perform “BO$$” live on TV for the first time this Friday, July 11th on the Today Show Summer Concert Series. This marks the group’s second outdoor concert at the Today Show as they also played on the plaza last summer.

Earlier today, the girls of Fifth Harmony stopped by the 4th hour of the Today Show to chat with Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb about their #ImABoss campaign, a partnership with DoSomething.org that launches today. The campaign encourages fans to share with their friends what makes them amazing, unique or strong. Owning and sharing personal traits and skills is proven to improve self worth and boost confidence which is why DoSomething.org and Fifth Harmony are encouraging fans to help their friends find out what they’re the boss of.

The campaign asks young people to make a sign for their friend that says “I’m the boss of…” and to share why their friends think they’re unique. Fans can enter to win prizes including the chance to meet Fifth Harmony and act as their “boss” for a day, a total of $12,500 in scholarship money and a chance for their picture to be featured on the #ImABoss microsite. To participate, young people can sign up and share their photos at www.dosomething.org/boss or text BOSS to 38383.

“BO$$” is the lead single from Fifth Harmony’s upcoming debut full-length album which will be released this fall. The new album is the follow up to their EP Better Together which landed at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 and was Top 10 on iTunes in 41 countries and spawned the hit single “Miss Movin’ On.” The spanish-language version of the EP Juntos debuted at #1 on the Latin iTunes chart. The new album promises to showcase a more mature and grown up sound from Fifth Harmony who themselves have grown into strong, independent young women since forming as a group on the second season of The X Factor.

2014 has already been a banner year for Fifth Harmony. They completed their first ever arena tour opening for Demi Lovato, just finished their own 5th Times A Charm headline tour and will hit the road with Austin Mahone on his summer outing starting July 25th (full schedule below).
