Margaret Cho show a centerpiece of weekend GLBT events in Atlantic City

Come out and dress up this Halloween weekend in Atlantic City with the one and only Margaret Cho. The comedian, known for her raunchy humor, returns to Atlantic City to headline a weekend full of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender events, all in the name of Halloween. Cho's show is 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Caesars Atlantic City's Circus Maximus Theatre, where she and Sandra Bernhard headline The Queens of Comedy event.

"I'm really excited to be coming back to Atlantic City," Cho says. "It's been a few years now, and it's good to be back."

Cho, who recently appeared on the television hit "Dancing With the Stars," is in the midst of her "Cho Dependent" tour, which she'll be bringing our way.

"It's all new material; really, a whole new show," Cho says. "I talk about 'Dancing With the Stars,' my family, and a lot about gay rights - you know, what's happening in the news in terms of marriage equality and 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' I'll definitely do some songs from 'Cho Dependent,' as well."

The album, which came out in August, is Cho's first comedic, musical production - a feat that makes her very proud and eager to try new comedy outlets.

"Making a studio album was incredible," she explains. "It's still jokes and stand-up comedy, but it's all in song form. I wrote and sang with some of the most amazing musicians, like Tegan and Sara, Fiona Apple, Andrew Bird and Ani DiFranco."

Although Cho has always been an advocate for the GLBT community, she had no idea her show was at the center of a "coming out" holiday weekend. And she couldn't be happier.

"I love that my show is making people come out and making a whole weekend of it," she says. "I've always worked on behalf of the gay community with activism, so this is a very important part of my life and always will be."

Cho has a big year ahead of her, including a new season of Lifetime's series "Drop Dead Diva," and she believes she'll have another album out by next year.

But the real question on the lips of Atlantic City in regards to this weekend is what exactly Ms. Cho plans on being for Halloween.

"I don't really dress up for Halloween," she admits with a giggle. "The last time I dressed up, I was a tattooed lady, which I really am now. So maybe I'll just be that again (laughs)!"

Be sure to check out Cho Saturday at Caesars, as well as all the GLBT events Atlantic City has to offer this Halloween weekend.

Come Out! Events in Atlantic City:

Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender events begin Friday, Oct. 29, with everyone's favorite celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, as he hosts his "One Night In" concert series at The House of Blues, located inside the Showboat Casino-Hotel. The special guest performers are yet to be named, but Perez has featured artists such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in previous shows.

After Friday's concert, step inside Club Worship, also located inside Showboat, for DJ Larry T and Kristine W, who perform live for Charity Monster, an organization that helps bullied, gay youths. You can also swing by The Pool at Harrah's Resort late Friday night for an afterparty hosted by Chuy Bravo from the E! Television talk show, "Chelsea Lately." After parties begin around 11 p.m., while doors open at 8 p.m. for Hilton's show.

As for Saturday, Oct. 30, hang poolside with Richie Rich and DJ Linda, as they host a pool party at The Loft at The Pool during the day. And, Hilton returns to The Pool for more party action alongside DJ Hollywood and Beatclan that night. Doors open at 9 p.m., and be sure to come in costume, as costume contests will happen throughout the evening.

For more late-night action Saturday, visit Club Worship for an after-hours event with DJ Tracy Young and Kim Zolciak, star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," at 11 p.m.
