THE SCORE Joan Jett loves rock 'n'
roll, and she loves Girl in a Coma, too. The group's music can run from poppy-punk to spiraling moody ballads — in the vein of the band's hero, Morrissey. The trio's name was inspired by The Smiths' catchy 1987 song "Girlfriend in a Coma." Is it a coincidence or just good tour scheduling that Moz will be playing the Tucson Music Hall the night after Coma's performance Wednesday at Solar Culture? Opening for Girl in a
Coma will be Tucson's own The Thesis at 9 p.m.. Tickets are $7. Solar
Culture is at 31 E. Toole Ave. |
