Catch up with nostalgic rocker chicks of The Runaways

If you’re the parent of a teenager old enough to read the Twilight Saga, chances are you remember the rogue band, The Runaways, or at least rebel rocker chick, Joan Jett.

Filming for the movie The Runaways, chronicling the lifespan of the band, begins next week. MTV confirms that actress Alessandra Torresani will portray rocker Lita Ford, rounding out the final group of four.

Torresani told MTV, “"She's the most incredible woman. I'm getting to meet her very soon, so that'll be amazing. I'll get to hear all her old stories. There's some kick-ass girls in the movie, right? It's going to be great. We've got some good girls in there."

Stella Maeve will portray Sandy West. Kristen Stewart, who recently underwent a makeover to transform her hair into a style more fitting of the 70’s rock band bad girl, Joan Jett, has been hanging out at a recording studio this week. And Kristen’s fellow New Moon vamp, Dakota Fanning, will play the part of saucy blonde Cherie Curry.
