Los Angeles, CA – September 28, 2006 – Joan Jett, the queen of punk and rock, is back and bad as ever! Hot off her headlining status on this Summer’s Warped Tour, Joan, forever the eternal outsider and her infamous Blackhearts will continue their endless tour with an eclectic punk-rock line-up. The 30 city North American trek will include special guests Eagles of Death Metal as well as The Vacancies (on dates 10/20,21,23,26), Throw Rag (on dates 10/26-11/7), Riverboat Gamblers (on dates 11/10-19) and Valient Thorr (on dates10/12 –21). For ticket info please visit www.joanjett.com . Joan is also celebrating the long-awaited release of her new record, Sinner. Sinner , features Joan Jett and The Blackhearts on 15 new songs including the lead single and video (starring Carmen Electra) “A.C.D.C.” “A.C.D.C.” kicks off with Joan’s classic punk rock snarl and never lets up for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. The Chicago Sun Times hails, “ Sinner is one of the best and most ferocious albums of the year. Jett has never sounded more vital and stands proud as more of a heroine than ever!” Always daring to be different while remaining a multi-faceted artist and visionary Joan also tackles today’s political climate with two anti-war anthems “Riddles” and “Change The World.“ Sinner, produced by Kenny Laguna also features other stand-out tracks as the hardcore primal rock of “Fetish,” the crunching guitar work of “Naked,” as well as the spunky “Tube Talkin’” featuring Le Tigre’s Kathleen Hanna, and a cover of The Replacements classic “Androgynous.”

As with all of Joan’s previous records, Sinner was released on her own Blackheart Records label and is the eleventh studio album by her and the Blackhearts. 2006 also marks the 25th anniversary of Blackheart Records, which was started by Jett and Laguna after being turned down by over 23 record labels. As a result, Joan Jett became the first woman in rock and roll to own her own record company. To help celebrate the labels 25th anniversary along with her long list of accomplishments, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will re-release the majority of the catalog completely re-mastered with additional bonus material. Joan’s other Blackheart Records releases include: 1980’s Joan Jett and the groundbreaking Bad Reputation, 1981’s I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, 1983’s Album, 1984’s Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth, 1986’s Good Music, 1988’s Grammy nominated Up Your Alley, 1990’s Hit List, 1991’s Notorious, 1992’s Flashback and 1994’s Pure & Simple. So far, the seminal Bad Reputation, I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Evil Stig (the 1995 side project Joan collaborated on with the remaining members of The Gits to help find lead singer, Mia Zapata’s killer) have been released. Other titles to follow this Fall.
