The
rockers from Orange County, Calif., are at it again, this time lighting
up the music scene with a stronger rock'n'roll presence. Three years in the making-and after parting ways with a major (RCA) for an indie-Lit's self-titled, fourth release showcases a band that has found its own identity. Lead single "It Looks Like They Were Right," with its Simple Plan vibe, is well-poised to gain popularity just as the band's 1999 Billboard Music Award-winning hit, "My Own Worst Enemy," did. "Lit" introduces not only a balance of vocals and guitars but lyrics that deliver. (The group's fans voted on all 13 tracks.) With this full-length, Lit proves it deserves rock star status.-JS |
