SUPERSUCKERS Long
before Nashville Pussy were sending their cat scratch fever up the spines
of the libido-driven masses, Supersuckers were creating the blueprint
for a rock 'n' roll punk-abilly as it's meant to be, as infectious as
it is obnoxious. On "Motherfuckers Be Trippin", their 15 years
of mayhem are concisely translated into 12 soon-to-be classics clocking
in at just over 33 minutes. Opening cut "Rock-N-Roll Records (Aint
Sellin' this Year)" is an anthem for everyone who's sick of the
corporate crap spraying through the fan, "Pretty Fucked Up"
captures the quartet's sleek design and banter as its best, offering
"she used to be pretty, now she's pretty fucked up," and "A
Good Night For Drinkin" brings the whole picture into alcohol-enhanced
focus. If you're looking for a rock 'n' roll hellride through the sawdust-covered
clubs that even Nickelback are too pretty to be allowed into, saddle
up for a trip alongside the Supersuckers...And hold on tight. |
