REVIEWS Orgy - Punk Statik Paranoia Everyone likes an orgy, well the band Orgy in this instance. But the name of the band doesn't take away from this hard hitting fast paced album. Orgy, formerly taken in by the label Elementree Records, formed by Korn frontman, Johnathan Davis, is now with D1 Music (www.d1music.net). I, personally, am a huge orgy fan. I didn't know what to expect from this long awaited third album. After years of hiatus and taking a break after putting out their first album 'Candyass' in 1998 and a second album 'Vapor Transmission' in 2000, Orgy did not dissapoint with this album. I think fans will agree. The first song entitled 'Beautiful Disgrace' starts out displaying frontman Jay Gordon's unique vocal style. Song number two titled 'Vague' is a bit more toned down than song one but the lyrics make up for it. "And jesus was your middle, as though it seemed to be an act of god" coming out of the speaker, listening to this entrigued me even more to really listen to the lyrics throughout this whole entire album. Listening more to the album and trying to find a song that really stuck in my head, I came to song 7, entitled 'Inside My Head'. Musically, the song blew me away. Mix that with the voice of Jay Gordon, and it made the song the highlight of the album for me. 'Orgy - Punk Statik Paranoia' will see daylight trough D1 Music February 24 of 2004. I recommend this album if you are into rock. I even think some of you metalheads and punk fans would enjoy this mix of music, rocking riffs, screaming vocals, and pounding drums. This cd is bound to have something to please all music lovers. Release Date: 2/24/2004
