Pat McGee's Top Five Songs of All Time!

5. Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run: One of those songs that must only be done by the artist who wrote it, it is so personal to Springsteen and it really brings out something about being triumphant over anything. Beautifully written and so passionately and honestly recorded...The ultimate driving song.

4. Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker/Living Lovin Maid: Reminds me of drinking warm beer under age in high school in the back of my friends car...he had Led Zep II stuck in his cassette deck all summer. Plus as a guitar player, this song is up there with the greatest riffs in rock.

3. The Beatles - In My Life: Very sentimental song about looking back on the past...by the best songwriting band in rock history ever.

2. AC/DC - Back in Black: The ultimate rock song by one of the baddest bands on the planet.

1. Allman Brothers Band - Blue Sky: This brings me back to when I was worshipping the Allman Brothers Band...we got to tour with the Allmans for 2 summers and was by far a dream come true. This guitar solo to me is one of the most beautiful and simple ones ever played and is the reason I play guitar and love melody.

About Pat McGee: Pat is one of the few artists keeping traditional American rock on the map and winning critical praise and loyal fanbase in the process. The Pat McGee Band made the jump to a major label earlier this year with the guitar driven "Save Me" but have been a putting out quality albums since Pat's first solo effort, the folky "From the Wood," in 1995 and a string of albums since the formation of the band shortly after. This is one band that doesn't shy away from playing for their fans (and winning over new ones). You can catch them on tour almost year round and playing with an eclectic mix of artists including The Goo Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson, Vertical Horizon, Hanson and they even played the Clinton farewell party.
