MG: If you were to take on the role of one musician for twenty four hours, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

PMcG: David Lee Roth during the 1984 tour of Van Halen....that seemed liked a pretty damn good time. Plus I don’t have the balls (or the perfect ass) to wear ass-less chaps on stage.

MG: In your opinion what makes a song great?

PMcG: Wow, that’s a hard one. Something that has a huge hook to it that you cant get out of your head, unless its something like “The Macarena” . A well written song is also something that really takes you to a place in your head. It has to evoke some sort of emotion.

MG: What is the most rewarding aspect of being a musician?

PMcG: The kick ass schedule, the fact that you get to do what you love for a living, and you get to play cool guitars. That’s a hard question. Ultimately it’s all about the fact that I get to create music for a living...amazing to me still.

MG: What do you tend to focus on the most when creating a song--lyrics or the melody?

PMcG: Well it used to be the music, but now I really think hard about what I am trying to sing about...it has to jive with the vibe of the music and vice versa.

MG: What has been your proudest moment as a band?

PMcG: I’d honestly say that the fact that none of us have had day jobs in 10 years, that’d be it.

MG: Tell us about your upcoming CD "Save Me". What can fans expect?

PMcG: This record is really a step in the direction that PMB has always been heading...I grew up listening to music that was heavier in style than most of the music I write...so deep down inside I really wish we were AC/DC...this record has the post passion of all our records. The performances from the band members are really strong and it was a challenge for me to really pour my heart into the vocals.

MG: What was your favorite show to play and how is it significant?

PMcG: Well I would say the first time we headlined (and sold out) the local 7000 seat amphitheater in our hometown area, Wolf Trap. I had gone there as a kid to see so many shows and never thought in a million years I would play there. We went on to do that 4 more times and hope to do it again soon! It just really shows that we made a true connection with people if they are willing to plop down their hard earned money to come see us play.
