From Cleveland, punk rock band the Vacancies say in its bio that it plans to “steamroll over what passes for Punk today.” The five- man band signed to Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records in 2005. The band has released two albums on Jett’s label, including “Tantrum,” released in the spring of this year. This year, the band’s album, “A Beat Missing Or A Silence Added,” was recognized as the Album of the Year in the hard rock category by the Independent Music Awards.
