LOS ANGELES, CA – MAY 13, 2022 - There’s a new Queen in town named Grag Queen and she’s releasing her first-ever English language song today with, “You Betta” HERE The track HERE was co-written by Grag Queen and co-writers & producers Jesse Saint John (Lizzo, Kim Petras), GRAMMY award-winner Cole MGN(Snoop Dogg, Christine & The Queens) and Golden Globe nominated Leland (Selena Gomez, Ava Max).

Songwriter Jesse Saint John said, Grag is an incredible artist who has such a strong vision,so helping bring it to life & amplifying Grag’s personality & voice has been so fun. It was a dream come true!” While producer Leland said, “Writing “You Betta” with Grag, Jesse Saint John and Cole MGN was such a fun day. Grag can’t help but to infuse their infectious personality into their songs and “You Betta” is a perfect example of that.”

If you were lucky enough to watch Queen of the Universe (which aired on Paramount +) then you’re well aware that on the season’s finale 26-year-old Grag Queen was crowned (literally!) the first winner of the competition.

Part RuPaul’s Drag Race, part Eurovision, ‘14 queens from 10 countries’ competed for the title in the 6-part series, which was an international success. The Brazilian singer wowed audiences with her show stopping performances of Andra Day’s "Rise Up" HERE and Cyndi Lauper’s "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" HERE among others. Grag was thrilled with her victory. “I feel SO accomplished! This award symbolizes a dream come true. I am sure my family and my country are proud of me.” She’s been lauded by fellow singing Queens Alaska Thunderfuck who said, "Grag is one of the most technically skilled singers out there, but it’s her stage presence, sense of humor, and charisma that make her an absolute superstar." Trixie Mattel added, “She’s a star before the song even starts, and then when she begins singing - it’s over bitch.”

Signed to SB Music in Brazil, Grag‘s Desperta EP features five tracks (listen to HERE). Her hit song, “Bota Fé”( HERE ), has over half a million YouTube views and streams on Spotify. Grag, who also writes her songs, is preparing her first album in English. “This album will certainly communicate with all people. There is an unexpected mix of languages, rhythms and a lot of ‘didiridau’.” The first tastes were, “FIM DE TARDEHERE and “Party EverydayHERE, which she co-wrote and already has over 1.4 Million views on Youtube. Next month Grag will also have a new track on the forthcoming Love, Victor soundtrack. The show’s new season premieres on HULU in June.

Along with releasing new music once a month throughout the spring and summer, Grag Queen is set to make her next appearance in America at RuPaul’s Drag Con LA on May 13, 14 & 15 and at LA Pride In The Park Festival on June 11 alongside Anitta and Christina Aguilera. A full slate of live performance tour dates is listed below.

A staunch supporter of the LGBTQ community in Brasil, Grag – born Gregory Mohd - she’s very well-aware of how many young people are afraid to come out to be their true selves. “We live in a country that kills LGBTQ people more than any other, and our transgender people’s [life expectancy] is only 35 years old and it’s not fair. We are still trying to find some place of peace….I really want to use this platform to make people know that this situation is crazy and it’s real.”
