“I’m so excited to present these releases (The Margaret Cho Collection) as my life’s work in comedy and while I’m still at work building my legacy it’s exciting to look back and see how much I’ve been able to do! It’s like my box set, my Celebration tour, my Eras tour, a life measured in dick jokes and I am very proud.” cracks Cho

Beginning with her early days on the scene in the Bay Area, comedian Margaret Co has always been the Agent Provocateur of stand up comedy. Never one to shy away from a difficult, or even 'taboo' topic, there is no subject off limits. Her socially aware brand of comedy has made her both a thought leader as well as a teacher to those with open minds and open hearts. While her career spans over 40 years Margaret shows no signs of slowing down as evidenced with her recent music album, Lucky Gift here and upcoming projects (Disney’s season 2 of "Percy Jackson and the OlympiansHERE and in director Gregg Araki's new thriller "I Want Your Sex" with Olivia Wilde & Charli XCX HERE) as well as a brand-new fall 2025 stand-up comedy tour here).

The Best In Cho album will feature such fan favorites as “Beaver Fever,” “Lesbians Love Whale Watching,” “Political Sex Scandals” and “Dick O’Clock” among so many more classic Cho jokes. In addition to the Best In Cho album, Margaret will release six of her other hilarious specials –“The Margaret Cho Collection”.

I’M THE ONE THAT I WANT

Named one of Entertainment Weekly's "Great Performances of the Year" in 1999, the critically acclaimed I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT is comedian Margaret Cho's raunchy and hysterically funny stand-up special.  I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT is Margaret Cho at her very best - funny, shocking and irreverent.

As one of the country's most visible Asian Americans, she has a unique perspective on identity and acceptance. As one of the country's funniest and most quoted personalities, she takes no prisoners. I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT is filled with dead-on insights about the experiences of being a woman in the spotlight from someone who has seen the highs and lows of life.

NOTORIOUS C.H.O.

2001’s NOTORIOUS C.H.O. is Margaret Cho's hilarious follow-up to her hit comedy sensation I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT. This hugely successful one-woman show toured 37 cities in North America in 2001 and closed with a sold-out performance at New York City's Carnegie Hall.

A brilliant, taboo-busting comedian in the spirit of Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor and George Carlin, Margaret Cho is known as much for her raunchy humor as she is for her enormous contributions as a social equalizer.

ASSASSIN

Margaret Cho returns to the concert stage with a "killer" stand-up show that breaks new ground in its hilarious attack on politics and society. ASSASSIN features a fresh dose of Margaret's controversial and hilarious brand of humor. Taking aim at the media, organized religion and national policy, she pulls no punches in her assault on our "ever devolving" cultural state. The result is an unforgettable performance featuring Margaret at her raw and irreverent best.

REVOLUTION

2003’s REVOLUTION is comedian Margaret Cho's triumphant return with the same unbridled, no holds-barred humor that infused her previous two specials.

In REVOLUTION, Margaret Tackles the Axis of Evil, her travels through Thailand's red-light district, the explosion of child birth, bartering sex for household chores, revolutionizing one's self-esteem, the joy of bodily functions, her loser ex-boyfriend, and of course, her now world-famous mother.

Known as much for her social activism as she is for her raunchy humor, Margaret is a one-of-a-kind phenomenon who once again brings her distinctive and empowering personal voice t her devoted and adoring fans.

BEAUTIFUL

Learning to love her luscious self over the past forty years, comedian Margaret Cho realized that the eye of the beholder doesn’t hold all the power when it comes to beauty. Our tastes may be groomed by the media, but how we feel about how we look brings our self-image into focus.

Armed with something more potent than lip gloss -- a mouth so shocking and raunchy it should be stamped with a warning – Cho toured America with her manifesto: “This show is really about how we should feel beautiful,” says Cho. “When you feel beautiful, you’re going to have more of a willingness to use your voice to speak.”

Cho’s stand-up special, Beautiful, explores the good, bad, and downright ugly in beauty, and the unattractive politicians and marketers who shape our world.

CHO DEPENDENT

Margaret Cho’s sixth special, 2010’s Cho Dependent, finds Margaret in her usual top form, riffing on smart topics that actually matter. With fresh family stories about her mother and her grandparents, Cho also takes aim at the Palins, her stint on Dancing With the Stars, (where both gay pride and bullying were platforms for her), smoking pot and living in a world with ‘sexting,’ as well as performing songs from her Grammy nominated album of the same name. Honest, passionate and hilarious, Cho Dependent is simply Margaret Cho at her very best.

Audiences who caught these performances live can attest that Cho hasn't lost any of her edge on Cho Dependent, her sixth live special. This special shares a name with her Grammy nominated comedy album. The album, which featured Margaret alongside artists such as Fiona Apple, Andrew Bird, Grant Lee Phillips, Tegan & Sara, Ben Lee and more, was widely praised for Cho's songwriting as well as her musicianship. The Cho Dependent special features songs from the album interwoven into the thought provoking stories she tells.  Says Margaret, "I'm really in love with this show as it's the first time I got to bring my comedy and my music together. It was the hardest I have ever worked on anything, and I had such an amazing time on this tour. It was amazing to come back to the South and bring something I was so proud of to share with all my friends!"
