Los Angeles, CA – October 4, 2023 - Performer, actress, compelling storyteller Sandra Bernhard is taking a stand with Texas and bringing her Sandyland Presents: “Stand With Texas” community gathering shows to Austin, Dallas and Houston this December. All dates are on sale now (see ticket links below).
Be it on-screen (“American Horror Story,” “POSE” - HERE), radio (Sandyland on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy Channel 102) or on stages across the globe, Sandra Bernhard has been one of the most exhilarating performers for the past five decades. Now, she’s ready to share and educate with the great state of Texas on some important issues. To do that, Sandra is joining forces with local Texas organizations (NOISE FOR NOW, Resource Center, politicians, drag artists, musicians and other surprise guests to raise awareness on student education, LGBTQ + and abortion rights to create change and unite.
“I love Texas, I love the culture, the food, the music, the people. So, when I see a government that is crushing their spirit, of course, I want to step up. Sandyland is my little world where everyone is welcomed and included, so I thought, why not come to Texas and give some love to my LGBTQ+ community? Why not fight for the abortion and health care rights of my sisters? Why not lend my voice to the educators who want to give students the vastest experience they can in the classroom? So, I am gathering local voices of the many talented Texans to join me in “Standing Up” and bringing together the people who care and want to make Texas an inclusive, progressive place to live. Join me! I’ll be bringing my free-wheeling show to entertain you along with the Sandyland Squad Band. It’s the perfect time to gather and elevate the conversation!" - says Sandra.

About Sandra Bernhard:
Sandra Bernhard has been a performer, actress, singer and author for nearly five
decades in the industry. On screen, she most recently starred in Ryan Murphy’s series
American Horror Story and POSE. Past television credits include Broad City, Difficult
People, 2 Broke Girls, Brooklyn 99, You’re the Worst, Will & Grace, The Sopranos, and
Roseanne. Bernhard’s most notable film credit, The King of Comedy, won her Best
Supporting Actress by the National Society of Film Critics. Bernhard gained attention in the late 70s with her stand-up comedy and continues today with live stage performances throughout the U.S. and overseas. A pioneer of the one-woman show, Bernhard brings a completely unique and raucous mix of cabaret, stand-up, rock-n-roll, and social commentary. She is currently in her seventh year hosting her weekly radio show “Sandyland” on SiriusXM, for which she won a broadcasting Gracie Award.
About Noise For Now: NOISE FOR NOW is a national initiative that enables artists and entertainers to connect with and financially support grassroots organizations that work in the field of Reproductive Justice, including abortion access.
